(Size Exceptions are: PA-060S is taller but fits in the same hole, Z565 is not the same as A410 dimensions).
Our Dynaco Replacement output transformers are wound the same as the originals, with the same number of turns, sections and wire size, using the same Dynaco winding method, and made on the same core size and material. Improved insulation material is used (thus making the transformers more resistant to abuse) and all output transformers have extra long teflon insulated leads that follow the original Dynaco color coding scheme.
The output transformers have what you'd expect out of a Dynaco transformer, like healthy low frequency inductance , high resistance to distortion caused by output tube DC current imbalance, and low overall distortion. Like the original Dynaco (tm) units, they're the best bang for the buck available in output transformers. Compare ours to the competition in terms of price, specs, frequency response and weight.
Our Dynaco Replacement power transformers use improved insulation technology and 100% solids resin (no dripping wax!) impregnating to provide transformers that run cooler & quieter than the originals. The color coding of the wires is the same as the original units.
While the output transformers were originally designed for high fidelity stereo applications, they work just dandy in guitar & bass amplifiers, too. The excellent bottom-end response makes them particularly suitable for bass amps and guitar applications where lots of headroom and avoiding low-frequency "farting" distortion is desired. Ken Fischer, who built the legendary Trainwreck amps, used Dynaco iron in some of his amps.
