Our version of the classic Marshall JTM-50 amplifier. The JTM50 was the transitional model between the JTM45 and the JMP50. Commonly referred to as the "Black Flag" model. While the JTM50 utilized a tube rectifier like the earlier JTM45, the switch was made from KT66 output tubes to EL34's. With the addition of a larger power supply, this gave the JTM50 a slightly higher output, more pronounced "crunch", and a rock solid bass response. The slower rectification from the GZ34 adds a slight sagging/smoldering quality to the tone which allows the player to really dig in and make her rip & sing! Like most 4 input Marshall style amps, you can bridge the the 2 channels for slightly more gain and control.
The kit includes a High Quality, Handmade in USA Turret Board, Mallory 150 series (or Sprague Orange Drop) Coupling Capacitors, JJ and F&T Power Supply Caps, Sprague Atom Bias Supply Caps, High Quality Carbon Comp Resistors, Alpha Potentiometers, Marshall style Knobs, Belton Sockets, Cliff Jacks, NKK Impedance Selector, Fuse Holders, Power Cord, The Classictone Power Transformer (40-18033), Output Transformer(40-18025), and either the 40-18059 (20H) or 40-18032 (5H) chokes.
